My Journey to Health: From Failed Diets to a Sustainable Lifestyle Transformation

In 2015, like many others, I turned to YouTube for advice on getting healthy. I followed popular diets and lost some weight, but I felt constantly tired and looked older than my years. My body ached, especially my legs. Concerned, I saw a doctor who recommended a special test, which revealed I had osteoporosis—a condition where bones lose strength. It turned out my poor diet was not only costing me muscle but also bone health.

In 2016, my wife and I were approached by a friendly stranger while walking in the park. He offered a free weight check and introduced us to the Herbalife Weight Loss Program. We began drinking their milkshake and Amazon Forest coffee products. I lost 7 to 8 kilograms in three months, but the moment I returned to regular eating habits, all the weight came back within the next three months.

Determined to stay fit, I shifted gears in 2017. While working full-time in IT, I joined a weekend swimming program and incorporated daily 30-minute walks. I also replaced rice with millets and focused on staying hydrated. By the end of the year, I had lost over 3 kilograms and stabilized at 75 kilograms.

Inspired by a friend in 2018, I signed up for the Amway WOW Program, a meal replacement plan. I lost 5 kilograms in three months, but again, the weight returned when I resumed normal eating habits. Frustrated, I was close to giving up on diet programs altogether.

In 2019, at 45 years old, I decided to invest in a coach who was 10 years older but incredibly fit. They introduced me to a 48-day metabolic lifestyle program. Initially skeptical, I followed the program for two weeks and was amazed when I lost 4 kilograms. Encouraged by these results, I committed fully for the next five weeks and lost over 12 kilograms of body fat! Not only did I shed weight, but my high blood pressure—something I had battled for seven years—disappeared. For the first time in years, I felt truly healthy, medication-free, and like I was born again.

This transformation led me to explore books like What Your Doctor Does Not Know About Nutritional Medicine May Be Killing You, Lean For Life, Fighting Body Pollution, and others, which deepened my understanding of health and wellness.

With renewed energy, I began working out at the gym with a coach. Although I saw impressive changes within 90 days, balancing work, gym sessions, and personal life became challenging.
